It’s Normal To Be Tired When You’re Healing

This worry comes up a lot with my clients.

They begin swimming inside what their body has needed for a long time, and once they hit the deeper crevices within, they feel more tired than usual.

They also have less capacity for “powering through.”

They want to nap and they sleep in a bit later.

This is a great sign.

Because here’s the thing.

It’s normal to be tired when you start to feel decades of unfelt emotions and start to discharge stacked stressors.

Here’s why:

Your body is finally feeling safe enough to rest.

And when your body finally feels safe to rest, it’s going to invite you to catch up on years of powering through, overriding its signals, squashing its emotions, and holding everything inside pretending like you’re fine.

Sensitive women are deeply emotional beings.

Sensitive women have highly attuned nervous systems.

Sensitive women need an inner sense of safety.

Sensitive women need lots of rest.

As Napoleon Bonaparte said:

“Let her sleep, for when she wakes, she will move mountains.”

Because when a woman is well rested, we all know just how much power she is then able to amplify, and in doing so, she changes the world as she walks through it.
