It’s Exhausting To Not Be Who We Really Are
When I was in my 20’s, I was always tired. I was so tired, I was certain I had chronic fatigue syndrome or low iron or insufficient B12 levels. I went to all the doctors, naturopaths, TCM practitioners, functional medicine doctors, herbalists, and the list goes on.
I pumped everything imaginable into my body to resolve how I tired I was. It all usually helped for a short time, but nothing led to lasting resolve of my exhaustion.
The truth I found?
I wasn’t fully steeped inside of my true self in my 20’s, and I was exhausted as a result.
The wave of exhaustion that holds you under its current when you’re not being who you really are, won’t ever resolve by taking excessive amounts of supplements, minerals, Chinese herbs, coffee, bio-hacking, the latest diet trend, right amount of exercise or deep sleep.
When you aren’t walking with your true north, you and your body will be tired.
You’re tired because your body is holding in its intrinsic need to express who you really are.
Maybe you’re a healer but you’re not claiming the title.
Maybe you’re a singer-songwriter but you’re not making the time to work on the dream album you’re dying to create.
Maybe you’re an incredibly skilled pianist but you don’t show or tell anyone about your gift.
Maybe you’re a poet and you stopped writing raw poems from your heart for fear of being judged.
Maybe you’re an illustrator but you’re not working on projects that mean something to you.
In my opinion, the whole point of being a human on earth at this very time, is to become a fully expressed version of our self.
Little me at about 3
The fully expressed version of you sits underneath all the scars of what happened to you when you were little.
Those scars, and the rubble around them, is aching for tending.
The weight on your shoulders
The ache in your neck
The tension in your chest
The depletion through your body
The exhaustion in your soul
Are wise signs from your body, alerting you home to you.
The wise younger you, who knew exactly who she was born to be, and what she was born to do, before the world spoke it out of her.
Her power is right there, waiting for you to see it and waiting for you to reclaim it.
When you’re ready to stop being so exhausted and dive deeper into becoming who you really are, bloom is here for you.
